I just wanted
to read a paper.

I mostly used Zotero to read papers, highlight stuff, and keep things organized. The memory usage kept ballooning, and I got tired of dealing with it.

I wanted a simple, native Mac app that was free, with no paywalled features. So I made chimpread.

It’s what I use to read my papers now. It’s free and open source if you want to try it too.
